FAQ — Buying from Korea

How does the purchase process work?
Contact us with the car ID (41729293). We confirm availability, send a proforma invoice with all costs. You pay the deposit (or full amount). We de-register the car in Korea, obtain export clearance, load it at port, and send you all shipping documents. Full process: 3–6 weeks from payment to vessel loading.
What does EXW / FOB / CIF mean?
EXW (Ex Works) — you pay only the Korea car price. You arrange and pay for export and shipping yourself.
FOB (Free On Board) — we handle export clearance and load the car at the Korean port. You pay shipping from Korea.
CIF (Cost Insurance Freight) — we pay for shipping and basic marine insurance to your destination port. You handle customs at your end.
Can I get a pre-shipment inspection?
Yes. We can arrange an independent SGS or KGS inspection at the Encar dealer or at our warehouse before loading. Additional fee applies (~$150–300 depending on location). Report provided in English.
What currencies do you accept?
We accept USD via SWIFT wire transfer. We do not accept cash. All invoices are issued in USD.
Do you ship to my country?
We currently ship to UAE, South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Philippines, Fiji, Pakistan, and other destinations. Contact us to confirm your country — we can usually find a solution. Sanctioned countries cannot be served.
Is this car right-hand or left-hand drive?
All Korean domestic market cars are left-hand drive (LHD). South Korea uses right-hand traffic, same as most of Europe, Central Asia and Americas.
What is included in the export document package?
Standard package: Korean De-registration Certificate, Export Certificate, Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and Korean Accident History Report. Optional: SGS/KGS pre-shipment inspection report.
