Inspection Service Terms

1. Overview

The inspection service is an optional, paid service that helps the Client assess the condition of a vehicle before purchase. The standard inspection fee is USD 150 per vehicle, payable by bank transfer. An inspection is arranged only when requested by the Client and is subject to supplier access and vehicle availability.

2. What an Inspection Typically Includes

• Photographs of the vehicle exterior, interior and visible key areas;
• Video where it can be captured;
• Visual condition assessment of the bodywork, interior and visible components;
• Basic condition report summarising observed condition;
• OBD diagnostics where the vehicle and supplier access allow.

3. What an Inspection Is Not

An inspection is a visual assessment only. It is not:

• mechanical certification;
• a warranty; or
• a guarantee of future condition, performance or reliability.

Hidden defects may exist, including faults not visible or not present at the time of inspection. Some vehicle systems may not be accessible during inspection. An inspection is a point-in-time assessment, not a full mechanical teardown or workshop diagnosis, and does not verify matters that require dismantling, road testing beyond what the supplier permits, or specialist equipment.

4. Supplier Access Limitations

Vehicles are generally held by third-party suppliers (Korean dealers, distributors or private sellers). The scope of an inspection depends on the access the supplier permits. Some checks (for example, lifting the vehicle, extended road testing or removing components) may not be available. Where access is limited, the inspection is confined to what is reasonably possible at the supplier's location.

5. Use of the Inspection Report

The inspection report is provided to help the Client make a purchasing decision. The Client is responsible for deciding whether to proceed. The reservation deposit and purchase are at the Client's discretion after reviewing the report.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TOPEX's liability in connection with an inspection is limited to the inspection fee paid for that vehicle. TOPEX is not liable for hidden or latent defects, for matters outside the scope or access of the inspection, or for the Client's decision to purchase. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
